My name is Hanru, it is written in Chinese like “朱含汝”. As an overseas student from mainland China, I experienced an identity crisis after I came to Sydney. I didn’t know how to get along with local students at the beginning because I saw myself as an outsider. But soon I got the courage and confidence to get involved on campus and social activities, and it’s not that hard. This story is a reflection of my own thoughts and experience. I hope people who listen to the story can truly understand the difficult situation each Chinese student experiences. We need more help from you, we want to be part of you, and we love you Sydney.
