Military Brat

‘Military Brat’ is a feature piece in which Isabelle reflects on her personal experience as a ‘military brat’ with a refreshed curiosity. Through interviews with her mother Lucinda and ex-neighbour and Patron of Defence Member and Family Support Belinda Johnston, Isabelle learns that for every challenge it presents, military life also offers families an opportunity for unique and amazing experiences.

First introduced to the world of podcasting through the renowned ‘Serial’ series, she has an interest in non-fictional investigative pieces and personal profiles. Isabelle’s first major audio production, ‘Military Brat’ applies these influences to her own personal story.
