In theory, social media has made it easier than ever for the powerless to collaborate, coordinate, and give voice to their concerns. But these social media platforms use algorithms to filter content to us based on what we like in order to keep us coming back. The resultant myopic experience has been dubbed the ‘filter bubble’.
